About the author

Hello, I'm Roshenka

I'm a wife, mum, writer, illustrator, coach and award-winning communications consultant with a deep love for the natural world. I grew up between Malawi and Sri Lanka, exploring wilds that left a permanent mark on my heart and imagination.

I began my career in ecotourism and conservation before moving into global PR and journalism. I now live in Colombo and work as a coach, helping people build healthy habits for life. Today, I write for the curious and big-hearted—for readers who believe that every person, even in small ways, can make a real difference in the world.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me at the piano, dancing ballet, training for a CrossFit competition, or hanging out with my three boys: my husband, my son and my eager-beaver dog, Beau (yes—that Beau).
